This Design Council project with Barking & Dagenham Council explains how I work with all my clients: collaborating with them so they can understand and adopt the design process to help them address the challenges they may be facing. I had 10 mins, hence my comments at the start :-)
Organisational value through design
It can make you money and it can save you money; use design strategically and your organisation will flourish. It is the key to developing a truly innovative culture.
I am a designer and design manager whose work has involved the innovation of such things as; returnable transit packaging, knowledge management systems, cat flaps, educational programmes, online courses for aspiring playwrights and automated banking services.
Whatever the project, I'll always be looking to link design methods to organisational strategy and innovation: the first supports the second in pursuit of the third.
When not using strategic design management methods to enable clients’ business to grow, I'm most likely to be found in the campervan, with the family, heading for the coast.
